You are bidding on two items from my beloved vinyl collection, which we are selling along with pretty much everything else we own, to fund a new life on the road in a motorhome.
This lot includes the 12" single of Nellie the Elephant and the album "Singles 83/84". Both records and sleeves are in good condition, and play well.
Each one of these records was purchased by me in 1985, and each has a story. The Singles Album was purchased at a record fair, and as I grabbed it so did a very scary looking punk. I immediately said "No, please, you have it!" but he insisted I could have it, and that scary punk became a lifelong friend. As for the 12" of Nellie the Elephant, it has been well played, as it was one of two that my friend and I used to play when we had our mobile disco - it was so popular we would play it twice. When we disbanded, he took one copy and I kept the other. Despite being well played, it still sounds fantastic.
