Up for bid is a nice, but very played copy of Bill Evans Trio’s Portrait In Jazz on LP. This is a rare 1960 first repress on Riverside RLP 12-315, basically the second press of the mono recording that was released the same year as the first mono and stereo pressings.
The record grading is Very Good (VG) with visible wear from play and handling to the vinyl that does affect the sound quality of course, with typical surface snaps and crackles, but is enjoyable to listen to and plays through uninterrupted never really overpowering the instruments. Vinyl still holds sheen. Labels are clean. There are no skips. No overbearing abrasive pops. And no repeating scratches.
The sleeve grading is Good Plus (G+), showing much wear and tear but intact.
This is a decent copy of a beautiful and rare original 1960 copy of this record. A great opportunity to score a rare original pressing.
