The 12" record was a way for music artists to showcase a single song, but usually with extra remixed tracks added on. It became popular in the 70s, but by the 80s, it became the go-to format for clubs and a lot of radio stations. There were many reasons to have a hit song on a 12" vinyl record instead of a 7". But the main reason was durability! A 7" record was fragile. They were thin and usually made with a cheap and inferior vinyl. The album sized 12" could hold a few more bonus tracks, last longer, and could have some very cool artwork to catch your eye in record stores!

In today's rockin' good deal, you'll receive FOUR different rock 12" records, from four different artists! First up is Quiet Riot. The band that introduced Randy Rhoads to the world! Randy was in Quiet Riot from 1975 to '79. By the end of the 70s, he joined Ozzy's band, but passed away in '82. Original lead singer Kevin DuBrow was gone by 2007, and drummer Frankie Banali passed away in 2020. Quiet Riot's smash hit album 'Metal Health' was the first heavy metal album to hit number 1 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart in 1983! (RIP Randy, Kevin, and Frankie. You guys were all amazing musicians, and made some awesome music! You all paved the way for other metal bands to thrive. Each one of you is missed!)

Quiet Riot is represented here today with the 12" of the hit song from their fifth studio album titled 'QR III', released in 1986. The song is called "The Wild and the Young", and it's great! (Check out the video.) The band was on a down slide with this album, after riding so high with the previous two. But this one has some great songs on it, and "The Wild and the Young" is no exception! Vinyl itself looks great, and is shiny and clean. The hit single is on one side, and the B side is the songs "Cum On Feel the Noize" (from 'Metal Health'), and another track from 'QR III' titled "Rise or Fall". Envelope style jacket in great condition.

Next up is the collaboration between Jeff Beck and Rod Stewart, and the song "People Get Ready". Originally on Beck's 1985 album 'Flash'. Three total tracks on here. That awesome hit single, and another two Jeff Beck songs: "Back on the Street" (with Karen Lawrence), and "You Know, We Know". Vinyl looking fantastic, and is shiny and clean. Jacket looking really good, as well!

FORTY years ago, a German heavy metal band formed, and called themselves Victory. They hired an American singer named Charlie Huhn, who was in Ted Nugent and Gary Moore's bands for a while. Later, Huhn ended up in Humble Pie (and I saw the band with him in it), and is retired now after being in Foghat from 2000 to 2022. During the 2000s, Huhn even joined Victory for a brief reunion!

Victory is here with a 12" promo copy of the single "Chicks on Display". That song is on the A side, and two more tracks are on the B side ("Wreck Man" and "The Hunter"). Victory was poised to become really big, but fame and fortune eluded them. "Chicks on Display" is a heavy rocking hit, (with a wild video)! Vinyl looks great, and is shiny and clean. Jacket is a black generic die-cut sleeve with a gold promo stamp on one side, and in great shape.

Last is Vinnie Moore, who is currently lead guitarist in UFO. Vinnie has played with Alice Cooper, and a metal band called Vicious Rumors. He's done several solo albums and a couple of instructional videos through the years. In 1988, Vinnie released his second studio album, and called it 'Time Odyssey'. It's great guitar work, and a single was released from this LP. The single is called "Message in a Dream", and it's incredible! The original album version is over NINE minutes long, but edited down to almost five minutes here. Same song on both sides. Promo copy. Vinyl looks awesome, and is shiny and clean. Jacket is a white generic die-cut sleeve, with hype sticker. The whole album is great, and Vinnie Moore even remakes a Beatles' song ("While My Guitar Gently Weeps") on it!

Being home some 80s 12" records, and rock out to tracks from an incredible decade of heavy and hard rockin' good music! Vinyl is red hot these days, and music lovers are jammin' to songs from that decade. All of these are in fantastic condition, and three out of four have extra tracks! Long live 80s rock and roll!
