Up for sale is a copy of the Beatle's Abbey Road half-speed master from 1980 (or 1978 or 1979) in Super High Fidelity from Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MFSL). This is just one of many records from my personal collection that I'll be selling in the coming months. As with all my albums, this version of Abbey Road has been stored in an upright position in a controlled, smoke-free environment. Actually, I had forgotten that I had this in my collection until I dug a little deeper. Released by Capitol Records under license with Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab, it's strange not to see the Apple logo on the back cover!
The album is in used condition, and although still enclosed in the original shrink wrap, the plastic has not aged well and has some tears and some crinkling. (See photos) With all of the protection provided by MFSL, the actual cover of Abbey Road is in remarkable condition. Next comes MFSL's information about the "Audiophile's Dream Come True" booklet, which is in great shape.  As a bonus, I've included the original MFSL flyer that came with the album. All of this is enclosed in a heavy plastic bag. The record itself is housed in what looks like a nearly new paper/plastic sleeve. 
I turntable tested the record (great to hear it again in high fidelity). There are the usual crackles and pops, but no scratches and no skips. I'm actually surprised by the quality of the sound coming from my speakers. It could probably benefit from a cleaning.
