Als traditionelle Rockabilly-Band hat das John Lindberg Trio durch die Einbeziehung von Einflüssen aus anderen Genres seine ganz eigene Art von Rockabilly entwickelt.
Mit mehr als tausend Live-Auftritten in der Vergangenheit sind sie weit über die normale Rockabilly-Szene hinausgewachsen und ein Ende scheint nicht in Sicht zu sein.
Im Oktober 2009 veröffentlichten JLT ihr drittes Album Brand New Philosophy", das auf Platz 11 der schwedischen Charts einstieg. Ihr erster Einstieg in die Charts, aber sicher nicht der letzte.
