The progressive rock band Roxy Music formed in Britain, in 1970. They were considered glam in the early days, but the music was so much more than that. In the later years, they became new wave, experimental and synth-pop. They even had elements of soul and jazz in their music, and lead singer Bryan Ferry always did have an amazing voice (and still does). Roxy released records through 1982, ending with the classic album 'Avalon'. They were extremely influential, and the musicians all had talent and style. In 1973, (and celebrating the FIFTY year anniversary of that album last year), Roxy Music released their third studio album titled 'Stranded'. And like the others, it features a beautiful woman on the cover. (The 'Avalon' cover is Bryan Ferry's girlfriend, who became his wife, in a robe and helmet. But she's still there!)

The cover model for 'Stranded' is a 'Playboy' magazine model, and Playmate of the Month for January '72, and Playmate of the Year for '73. She was also the first model to feature full-frontal nudity in the magazine (tastefully done, of course)! She's classy and gorgeous on this album cover...

For your consideration today is a copy of a Japanese import 12" picture disc LP of that over fifty year old classic. And on 180 gram vinyl! This comes in a clear PVC jacket, in a obi type discography card. And they're both in near perfect condition! The vinyl itself is shiny and clean, and the card looks great. Both in like new condition!

But wait...there's more! I'll also add the 7" picture sleeve single for the song "More Than This", from 1982's album 'Avalon'. In a really nice picture sleeve, made from heavy stock carboard (and not paper)! The cover is from a painting called 'Veronica Veronese', by D.G. Rosetti, painted in 1872. The back is song titles and credits, in beautiful gold lettering. Vinyl looks awesome, and is shiny and clean. Jacket is in really, really good condition.

Roxy Music was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019, and reformed in 2022 for the fiftieth anniversary of the debut album, and toured the UK and the US. Roxy will always be considered one of rock's most diverse and influential bands, who made classy timeless music that still sounds great to this very day!
