ROGER WATERS The Pros & Cons Of Hitch Hiking Scarce and becoming increasingly harder to find genuine Original 1984 Dutch 12-track Direct Metal Mastered LP, the first solo studio album from the Pink Floyd bassist & founder, also starring Eric Clapton & Michael Kamen, glossy gatefold picture sleeve with lyrics inside. 1C0642401051
PLAY GRADED: VISUAL GRADING
Equipment used to test this LP was my Townshend Rock II turntable positioned on a Townshend Seismic Vibration Isolation Platform, with a Linn Ittok modified arm and Audio Technica VM95ML Shibata modified cartridge feeding through a Trilogy 906 phono stage positioned on a Townshend Seismic Sink. Amplification is a Lavardin IS amp positioned on a Townshend Seismic Vibration Isolation Platform. Speakers are bi-wired Nordost Blue Heaven Rev II Speaker Cable Impluse H6's positioned on Townshend Seismic Isolation Bars.
The LP was played through its entirety and there was just very light minimal surface noise heard through the very quieter moments. There were no annoying skips, jumps of mis-tracking. While listening no track exhibited any sticking. There were no loud pops or any other annoying defects heard. There was no noise distortion, while listening the music flowed with crystal clear clarity. If marking out of 10 then this is easily a 9.5 out of 10 playback.
I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable/system - Cartridge and stylus profile, tracking weight, Arm VTA, arm type all go to make a difference to the sound and performance of any LP/single being played.
THE COVER: The glossy gatefold cover shows only the wear to the top and bottom edges. The spine also shows just very light wear with light creasing. The spines text remains reable. All corners have also very light minimal wear with no major age related rounding. The opening edge shows no fethering and has remained clean and crisp. The covers surface has just very light storage scuffing and creasing so I have graded the cover in EXCELLENT condition.
THE BACK COVER: The back cover reflects the front so I have graded the back cover again in EXCELLENT condition.
THE INNER SLEEVE: Plain White.
THE VINYL: Both sides of this LP still retains all of their original lustre and sheen with no dulling and in daylight look awesome. Placed under a 100w bulb there are no deep scratches to any side of this LP. There are NO hairline marks. I have graded this LP in MINT condition.
Side 1 in MINT condition. Side 2 in MINT condition.
MATRIX NO:
SIDE 1 2401051-A3+D SIDE 2 2401051-B3+D
THE LABELS: The labels are in MINT condition and showing NO spindle marks around the central spindle hole.
