One of the pioneers of heavy rock, Ozzy Osbourne, has been featured on several interview picture discs through the years. The majority of them were released in the 80s. A series called Rock Sagas, and featuring the interviewer "Crazy" Chris Tetley, came out with many different artists. In today's rockin' good deal with the Ozz man himself, you'll get a 12" interview picture disc with Chris Tetley, a 7" interview picture disc, and a standard black vinyl single for two live tracks from the album 'Speak of the Devil' ("Paranoid" and "Never Say Die")!
The Chris Tetley interview 12" has a close-up pic of Ozzy on one side, probably from 'The Ultimate Sin' era. Ozzy has big hair, and looks glammed out. The flip side is a live concert shot, and that's definitely Randy Rhoads playing the guitar next to him! This comes in its original die-cut sleeve. The vinyl itself has a few light surface marks on it, but nothing too bad. I can't vouch for the sound quality as I never play specialty vinyl such as pic discs or colored records. But the colors on here are still nice and bright, and it's a very cool piece of rock and roll history!
The 7" is a vintage shot of Ozzy, wearing a leather codpiece. From one of the first two tours, possibly? The flip side is Ozzy with short hair. After he drunkenly shaved his head one night, in the early to mid 80s, it started growing back. I was actually at a concert where Ozzy came out in a wig and bandana. We all screamed, and went insane! He then pulled the wig off, revealing a bald Ozzy. We all went silent, after gasping. He screamed "don't you F@$&ING know who I am?" At that point we all realized it was Ozzy...but bald, and we started screaming again! The record itself looks pretty good, with only a few really light surface marks on it. Nothing bad, and hardly noticable. This comes in a clear generic PVC jacket.
And for historical purposes, I'll also include a 7" standard black vinyl single, from the 1982 album 'Speak of the Devil', which was live Black Sabbath tracks, and featuring Night Ranger's Brad Gillis on guitar. This originally shipped to record shops and radio stations in a plain white sleeve, which you'll receive. The vinyl itself still looks shiny and clean.
We are hoping that Ozzy remains in good health, and will finally stop touring so he can relax and take care of himself. At least we'll have the memories of some wild and crazy concerts that he's put on through the last nearly FORTY FIVE years (and that's just the solo stuff)! Ozzy will always be a part of the history of rock and roll music...
