Picture sleeve 7" records are rarely released anymore. They gave way to CD singles, and then to streaming services. When they are released these days, it's usually to promote an artist's new music, and more of a novelty than anything else. But back in the 80s, a picture sleeve record was made to catch your eye in record stores, and to promote a single to radio stations. Up for grabs today is a pack of TEN vintage 80s (and a couple from the 90s) picture sleeve singles!

In this listing, we feature the ladies. First up is Stevie Nicks, of Fleetwood Mac. Stevie is solo here with the beautiful and haunting "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You", from the 1985 album 'Rock a Little'. Backed with "Imperial Hotel". Next up is Joan Jett, who was in the all female hard rock, punk, and heavy metal band The Runaways in the 70s. Joan is here with her single "Good Music", from the '86 album of the same name. Backed with "Fantasy". Then we have Berlin, who has the beautiful and talented Terri Nunn as the lead singer. Berlin is here today with the song "You Don't Know", from the 1986 album 'Count Three and Pray'. Promo copy, so same song both sides (so the DJ would never play the wrong song). Produced by Bob Ezrin, who's also worked with Kiss, Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper, and many more!

Next we have Edie Brickell (& the New Bohemians), and their hit song "What I Am", from the 1988 album 'Shooting Rubberbands at the Stars'. Backed with "I Do". Edie married rock legend Paul Simon in '92, and they are still together to this very day! Next we have the lovely and talented Toni Childs, and her smash hit "Don't Walk Away", from her album 'Union', released in 1988. Backed with "Hush". Special version with a built-in 45 RPM adapter on the vinyl, and a heavy stock paper sleeve.

Rock and pop legend Cher is here with her single "I Found Someone", from the 1987 album called simply 'Cher'. Backed with "Dangerous Times". Next we have Grace Jones, and her funky and crazy track "I'm Not Perfect (But I'm Perfect For You)", from her 1986 album 'Inside Story'. Same song both sides promo copy.

Fiona (Eileen Flanagan) was born in New Jersey to Irish immigrant parents. She has had an active musical career until 2011 or so, when her last studio album was released. She's here today with her song "Love Makes You Blind", from her self-titled debut album, released in '85. Promo, so same song both sides. Paula Abdul is here with the radio edit of her track "My Love is For Real'. From the 1995 album 'Head Over Heels'. Backed with "Didn't I Say I Love You". No matter the year, Paula was an 80s girl!

And we'll end with a 7" picture disc from Linda McCartney. Wife of Paul McCartney, and a member of the band Wings. Linda released two solo albums, as well as guesting on several LPs by husband Paul, as well as a few other artists. Linda passed away due to breast cancer in 1998. Her second solo album was also released in '98. One track ("Wide Prairie", also the name of her second solo album) from this 7" pic disc was recorded in '73/'74, and the flip side song "Cow" was recorded in '88. So there's your 80s connection!

Each one of these were never played by me. Single records were usually made with a fragile vinyl and could be scratched with only one or two spins. A couple of these have light surface marks on them, but most are shiny and clean. The sleeves are showing signs of wear, but almost all are still looking really good. Picture sleeve singles have become cool collector's items, pieces of rock and roll history, and really nice works of art. Grab this bundle of TEN today!
