Shaped picture discs have been released by bands for over FORTY years now. It's more of an 80s thing, as I really don't remember bands in the 70s doing it that much. Today we feature a bundle of FOUR shaped picture disc records, and we salute the animal kingdom with this set!

First up is a pop band from the UK called Farmer's Boys, and their single "Muck it Out", originally released in 1983. It's awesome, and is a pink pig (like Peppa Pig? Lol), wearing sunglasses, and carrying a boom-box! That artwork is on the A side. The B side is song titles and credits. Next up is a beautiful butterfly shaped picture disc from psychedelic progressive rock band Barclay James Harvest, and their single "Just A Day Away", also from 1983. The B side track is called "Looking From the Outside".

Then we have a fish head shaped picture disc, from novelty/comedy rock duo Barnes & Barnes. It's their one and only "hit" record, which even had an awesome (but strange) video on MTV! "Fish Heads" is here, in its original PVC jacket with backing card. From their 1980 album 'Voobaha', but originally released as a single in '78. This track was an important part of the Dr. Demento radio show in the really 80s.

We'll end with the band Glass Tiger, and their song "Animal Heart", the first single from their 1991 album 'Simple Mission'. This comes in its original PVC jacket with backing card. The B side single is "My Town". The tiger head shaped picture disc is really cool! There's a 'made in England' sticker on the vinyl itself that should come off pretty easy, but I've left it on. Some people like any kind of hype sticker!

Only two have backing cards, and the other two do not. They all come in PVC jackets. Most of these look really good, but have a few light surface marks on them. I can't vouch for the sound quality as I never play specialty vinyl such as pic discs or colored records. But they look wild (no pun intended), and are great conversation pieces. The colors are bright, and the animals are getting restless at my place. Won't you take them home with you? They are pretty quiet, and don't eat much! (Especially the fish head...)

Shipping worldwide. Ebay has enrolled me in their international shipping program and handles all fees, paperwork, and we are both covered if anything happens in transit. And I pack well, using cardboard mailers and/or bubble wrap and padded mailers. So your item should get to you, wherever you are, in good shape!
