Jack White began his decades long career in The White Stripes in the 90s. After that band broke up, Jack joined The Raconteurs. He worked with other artists here and there, even producing singers like Loretta Lynn, but his real passion was creating his own music. In his solo career, he's released six studio albums, with the latest coming out a few weeks ago, and titled 'No Name'. As in this record has NO NAME! Lol

A decade ago, in 2014, Jack White released an album called 'Lazaretto', and it's actually awesome! But it's the special features on the 'Ultra LP' version that will blow your mind. Check out a description of the features:

"The "Ultra LP" version is mastered by Bob Ludwig without compression directly from the analog master tape, has some different mixes from the CD/digital version, has a flattened edge, and contains hidden tracks that are pressed into the vinyl underneath the inner label on each side of the record, which were cut to be played at 78 and 45 RPM, respectively, making this possibly the first three-speed record. Side one has a glossy finish, is cut to play from near the label to the outer edge, and ends in a lock groove. Side two has a matte finish, a song ("Just One Drink") that has two different intros depending on where the needle is dropped, another lock groove at the end of the side, and a hand-etched hologram of an angel (by Tristan Duke of Infinity Light Science) which appears in the dead wax at a certain angle to the light when it's being played."

Confused? It can be. And there are YouTube vids that show you how to play this on your turntable. Yes, one side (side 1) is dropped near the label, and it plays to the outer edge. Don't drop it on the wrong end, or your stylus may go flying! The features, put another way:

"The 'Ultra LP' release featuring several special features:

Tracks A6 and B7 are locked grooves featuring elements from their respective previous tracks. "High Ball Stepper" doesn't end with a faded-out distortion as in the digital versions, it is locked instead.

Tracks A7 and B8 are hidden tracks pressed on their sides' labels, and play at 78 RPM and 45 RPM respectively, thus making the LP a three speed record.

Side A's groove is inverted and plays from the inside out.

"Just One Drink" consists of two different intros, each in its own groove, with both connecting at the body of the song. BA1 is acoustic, BB1 is electric.

Side B has a matte finish, giving the appearance of an un-played 78 RPM record.

Vinyl is pressed in flat-edged format.

Dead wax area on Side A contains a hand-etched hologram by Tristan Duke of Infinity Light Science, the first of its kind on a vinyl record.

Tracks B3 and B4 are swapped in comparison to the digital editions, and B2 features a slightly longer intro.

The vinyl was mastered entirely from analog sources with no additional compression used.

Tracks A1 to A5 and BA1/BB1 to B6 are listed continuously from 1 to 11 and play at 33 ⅓ RPM.

Track A7 is an uncredited reworking of 'Pusherman', originally by Curtis Mayfield.

Durations unlisted, approximates obtained by digitizing the vinyl audio.

Jacket features Soft Touch aqueous coating. Record comes in die-cut black paper poly sleeve. Also included is an insert with lyrics and credits.

Some copies have the same label on both sides of record."

So yeah, quite a few things that this vinyl record does! Again, watch a video of someone who has this already, for help with accessing everything it does. I certainly had to!

I'll even add a beautiful green Raconteurs flexi-disc to this deal! Released in 2020, and contains one live track, titled "Bored and Razed". This is in nearly perfect shape, and is shiny and clean! The 'Lazaretto' vinyl album is also shiny and clean, and looks new. The beautiful album jacket is in outstanding condition. A sweet two piece of Jack White and The Raconteurs music, both on Third Man Records, with the flexi-disc screaming "you're turntable's not dead"! Lol I heard that...
