Not originally envisioned as a musical, Descendants is the American musical fantasy TV film directed by Kenny Ortega, and manifests as the fantasy Disney crossover to end all fantasy Disney crossovers. The series follows the teenage children of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella de Vil, respectively, as they each come of age, adjust to life's tribulations - oh, and embark on a quest to steal the Fairy Godmother's wand and free their parents from captivity. It was not until Ortega came to direct the film that the executive decision to add songs came about; now, the likes of Shawn Mendes and Dove Cameron grace a further star-studded cast of celebs and talents on this duly sparkly, modern slice of magnificence on a translucent pink marbled LP.
