Squeeze: East Side Story Vintage LP 1981 MINT LP and Cover
Squeeze was an absolutely seminal group in the New-Wave, Post-Punk genre.  "East Side Story" was produced by Elvis Costello (In Quintessence" produced by Dave Edmunds).  Squeeze was led by Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook, with some in the UK hailing the duo as the heirs to the Lennon/McCartney musical throne.  Notably, Paul Carrack also made his debut with the group on this album.
Difford himself named this LP as one of the best two the group ever made, while others have consistently placed "East Side Story" very high in their all-time lists.  When released, the album hit #19 in the UK and spent 26 weeks there, while placing #44 in the US Billboard Pop Albums.  "In Quintessance" hit #39 in the UK, but "Tempted" reached #8.
In my opinion, this is the best LP from Squeeze and is their definitive album.
As with most of the LPs from Beezar Audio, this one was played once for a needle drop cassette recording, then stored vertically in air-conditioned space ever since.
** Beezar Audio exclusively used Technics SL-10 and SL-7 linear tracking turntables with Shure V-15 P-mount cartridges and styli when playing LPs. **
