Michael Jackson: Off The Wall Vintage Fold-Out LP 1979 Mint LP, Cover, and Sleeve
This is the Michael Jackson I prefer to remember, before all the surgical alterations and skin coloring. Off the Wall, produced by the great Quincy Jones, was his first departure from Motown roots and was a worldwide phenomenon, selling over 20 Million copies. It was both a financial and critical success. MJ won Best R&B Vocal Performance, Male, at the 1980 Grammy Awards and the album is included the Grammy Hall of Fame.
Off the Wall is currently ranked #36 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time and is #149 on Billboard's Greatest of All Time Albums.
*** Once again, the recording on this album is absolutely stellar - as reflected in Beezar Audio's use of the DiscWasher V.R.P. (Valuable Record Protector) sleeve. ***
As with all Beezar Audio LP albums, this was played once for a needle drop cassette recording and the LP was vertically stored in air-conditioned space ever since. Everything about the album is in MINT condition. The album cover, when folded out vertically, is a full height photograph of Michael Jackson, against "the" wall.
** Beezar Audio exclusively used Technics SL-10 and SL-7 linear tracking turntables with Shure V-15 P-mount cartridges and styli when playing LPs. **
