A REALLY EXCELLENT COPY OF THIS ORIGINAL UK DECCA 78 FROM SCOTTISH TEENAGE ROCK AND ROLL STAR JACKIE DENNIS

"The Kilted Choirboy". Vocalist who recorded for Decca in 1958-1959, with accompaniments directed by Henry Robinson.

Jackie Dennis was born in the area of Edinburgh and was discovered by comedians in 1958. The brothers brought him to the attention of top agent Evie Taylor and he appeared on the hit TV show 6.5 Special at the age of 15, and a subsequent film spin-off.   The kilt-wearing, spiky-haired pop singer enjoyed seven successful years in the world of showbiz and toured the world. 'La Dee Dah' was his biggest UK hit reaching #4 in the chart, while his cover of Sheb Wooley's '' was his last UK hit peaking at #29. Jackie appeared a on 's US TV show, where he was introduced as "Britain's " performing the song 'Linton Addie'.   GINGERBREAD - his fifth UK release was a cover of Frankie Avalon's Hit which just made it to No 30 in the UK charts - sadly Jackie Dennis' great version failed to chart...   You're full of sugar, you're full of spice
You're kinda naughty but you're naughty and nice say-
