FOR SALE IS AN EXTREMELY RARE COPY OF THE BEATLES "THE BEATLES (WHITE ALBUM) (SWBO 101)" RELEASED ON APPLE RECORDS IN 1968. WHAT MAKES THIS COPY SO UNIQUE IS THAT IT IS AN RCA CONTRACT PRESSING (EVIDENCED BY THE LARGE 2 1/4" DIAMATER INTENDED RING BETWEEN THE SPINDLE HOLE AND OUTER EDGE OF THE SEAM (SEE PICTURES). CAPITOL AND APPLE PRESSINGS HAVE A MUCH SMALLER, SHALLOWER 1 1/2" RING.) THESE CONTRACT PRESSINGS WERE MADE IN EXTREMELY LIMITED QUANITIES. IT IS ESTIMATED THAT ONLY THERE IS ONLY ONE CONTRACT PRESSING FOR EVERY THOUSAND "WHITE ALBUMS" MANUFACTURED, MAKING THIS QUITE THE RARITY INDEED! THE COVER IS VG+/VG++, RECORD 1 GRADES VG++ AND RECORD 2 GRADES VG+ (SEE DESCRIPTION.)

THE COVER IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE WITH A LIGHT AMOUNT OF EDGE AND STORAGE WEAR AND A MODERATE AMOUNT OF RINGWEAR. WERE IT NOT FOR THE RINGWEAR, THE COVER WOULD GRADE A SOLID VG++. THE COVER HAS NO SERIAL NUMBER BUT DOES HAVE THE RAISED, EMBOSSED "THE BEATLES" LOGO.

THE ORIGINAL POSTER IS INCLUDED AND IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE! HOWEVER, PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FOUR PHOTOS OF THE BAND ARE NOT INCLUDED WITH THIS COPY.

IT SHOULD ALSO BE NOTED THAT THE LABELS OF ALL FOUR SIDES FEATURE GLOSSY LABELS, WHILE ORIGINAL APPLE/CAPITOL PRESSINGS HAD A MORE MATTED FINISH. ALSO, PLEASE REFER TO THE PICTURES OF THE SIDE 1 LABEL TO NOTE THE DIFFERENCES IN FONT AND SPACING OF THE TITLES (PARTICULARLY THE CENTERING OF "OB-LA-DI, OB-LA-DA" AND THE CONDENSED SPACING BETWEEN THE TITLES "WILD HONEY PIE" AND "THE CONTINUING STORY OF BUNGALOW BILL.) PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS ALSO A LIGHT TAPE REMOVAL STAIN ON THE SIDE 2 LABEL. WHILE THIS REMOVAL DID CREATE A SLIGHT TEAR, IT IS HARDLY NOTICED DUE TO THE WHITE COLOR OF THE APPLE ON THAT SIDE OF THE LABEL (SEE PICTURES.)

THE RECORDS ARE ALSO IN EXCELLENT SHAPE! RECORD 1 GRADES A SOLID VG++ WITH ONLY A LIGHT AMOUNT OF SURFACE SCRATCHING (MOST LIKELY FROM SLIDING IN AND OUT OF THE INSERT SLEEVE) AND ONE SMALL SCUFF ON SIDE 2. RECORD 2 HAS A LIGHT TO MODERATE AMOUNT OF SURFACE SCRATCHING ON BOTH SIDES AS WELL AS A FEW MODERATE SCUFFS ON SIDE 4. NONE OF THESE MARKS CAN BE FELT TO THE TOUCH, NOR DO THEY AFFECT THE PLAYBACK OF THIS RECORD. WHEN PLAY TESTING THIS RECORD, I DID NOTICE A LIGHT TO MODERATE AMOUNT OF SURFACE NOISE ON ALL FOUR SIDES. THIS WAS MOSTLY HEARD IN THE QUIETER SECTIONS OF THE RECORDS. ALL FOUR SIDES PLAY THROUGH WITHOUT SKIPPING AND ARE A VERY ENJOYABLE LISTEN! YOU WILL BE SATISFIED!

DON'T MISS OUT ON YOUR CHANCE TO ADD THIS EXTREMELY RARE PRESSING OF THIS CLASSIC ALBUM TO YOUR COLLECTION TODAY! IF YOU HAVE ANY ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS RECORD, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO MESSAGE ME. HAPPY BIDDING!

FOR THOSE INTERESTED, I HAVE LISTED THE MATRIX NUMBERS TO ALL FOUR SIDES OF THE RECORDS BELOW:

SIDE 1: SWBO-1-101   J64
SIDE 2: SWBO-2-101   J47
SIDE 3: SWBO-3-101  J49
SIDE 4: SWBO-4-101  J46

THERE IS ALSO AN "S" ETCHED INTO THE DEAD WAX OF ALL FOUR SIDES OF THE RECORD.

BELOW I HAVE POSTED THE GRADING SYSTEM I USE FOR ALL MY RECORDS:

SEALED: Sealed at factory and never opened. Vinyl is assumed to be mint, but cannot be sure until opening.

NM: When I grade something near mint, you know the only thing that isn't perfect about it is that someone actually opened it. There could be a light scuff mark or two from taking it out of the sleeve. The jacket will look like new.

VG++: These LPs appear not to have been played more than once or twice. You can expect to see scuffs or other insignificant surface marks very minor that will have no effect whatsoever on the sound of the recording. Jacket will show very slight, just beginning ring wear. Maybe a little wear in the corners.

VG+: Records in this condition have obviously been played a few times, though they have been well taken care of. You can expect to see a few light marks, but they should have a minimal effect, if any at all, on the sound of the recording. Jacket will very likely show noticeble ring and edge wear and maybe one or two other minor flaws. Anything more will be noted.

VG: These albums have been played quite a few times and although not abused you will see and hear signs of use. But, the music will dominate your listening experience and you shouldn't be overwhelmed by the various vinyl nuances, such as tics, pops, crackles and hisses. You should still be able to sit back and fully enjoy listening to an album in this condition.
Jacket will have a number of flaws, such as heavy ring and seam wear, writing, small seam splits, stickers, etc.

G: I try not to go here, but if it's a rare or exceptionally great piece of music that must be heard, then I'll offer it. But the noise will be very noticeable, and you'll want to find a better copy. Still, the record will be fully playable, and you should enjoy it because it's such wonderful music. Jackets in this condition will have large seam splits, large writing, paper tears, or water damage. But it will still be fully capable of protecting the album inside.

F: I'll never go here on both the vinyl and jacket. This would have to be a case where the vinyl was playable with a bad jacket OR a real special jacket with the record not of much use. You won't see this very often!
