Available for purchase is Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' third album, "Damn the Torpedoes" (Backstreet MCA-5105).  This album was Petty's first big hit, topping out at #2 on the Billboard Top 100 (behind Pink Floyd's "The Wall").  Deadwax/run-out indicates a first pressing:  ID is MCA-2015-DJ-SS# STERLING".  I purchased this new and am only letting it go to raise money for the scholarship described in the next paragraph, below.  I am not a record grader, but both sides of the record and the inner sleeve (photo of Petty) appear to be NM.   The front cover shows only minor wear on one corner; back cover has some visible creases and a minor stain, and is VG. Your satisfaction is guaranteed on every sale.

All proceeds from this sale will be donated to a scholarship fund established in memory of my son, Chris, at the University of Mary Washington, where he was in attendance at the time of his death in 2008. The scholarship helps students with financial need and/or a disability attend college, and has already awarded over $11,000 over the past five years. Thanks for looking, and thanks to those who have expressed an interest in donating without bidding (Checks should be made payable to the University of Mary Washington Foundation, memo line “Chris Morawetz Endowed Scholarship”, and mailed to the UMW Foundation, 1119 Hanover Street, Fredericksburg, Virginia, 22401-5412).
