VINYL GRADING
Vinyl = M-, Cover = VG++.
Notes on Vinyl Grading
I'm very picky about my vinyl albums, and all the vinyl albums I sell were originally purchased for my personal collection.
Please visit this web page before bidding to see details on LP grading, or click on the “me” next to vinylcollector1 above:

Vinyl is play graded on sound, not looks. Older vinyl albums from 1950-1969, which were much better manufactured than vinyl albums from 1970-1989, may have marks on the surface, yet play quietly. I have always collected vinyl albums for good sound quality, and that is the criteria I use to rate vinyl albums.
Many of the vinyl albums I sell are 40-50 years old. Older vinyl albums rated M- may have an occasional tick or groove noise. If you are an experienced record collector, I'm sure you will be pleased with my LP's and grading system (please see the 6000+ positive feedbacks from buyers I have received).
M- = Mint Minus. Plays quietly. Either a nearly new recently manufactured LP, or an older LP in excellent condition for its age. Older LP's (30-50 years old) rated M- may have an occasional tick or groove noise.
VG++ = Record may have surface noise or ticks here and there. Many rare/collector LP receive this rating. I've purchased 40 year old Blue Note, Prestige and Riverside records that were sealed, and there was surface noise on the first play...records age and deteriorate over time.
VG+ = Some noticeable surface noise, but not so much that record is not enjoyable.
VG = Definitely some major noise or other imperfections, but worth it because the record is so rare.
COVER GRADING
M- = Recent albums still look new, and older collector's albums look nearly new..accounting for some small fading or loss of cover gloss. I post pictures of all the albums I'm selling so you can see for yourself.
VG++ = Still looks good, but used. Minor imperfections will be noted in listing.
VG+ = Some strong wear. Possibly seam splits and/or taped seams.
VG= Beaten senseless
I’m happy to answer questions about the LP’s and Covers.
Sometimes (not often) I make a record grading mistake. If that happens, let me know and we’ll work it out through a return & refund. New/sealed records sold "as is" regarding vinyl quality.
Regarding pictures of LP's: I use low resolution pictures to make it easy to load the pictures, so sometimes the pictures look a bit washed out. Also, you may see occasional white areas on the LP vinyl, which is the camera flash.
SHIPPING & HANDLING
I'm a collector, so I know how important it is to pack and ship vinyl albums correctly. I ship the vinyl’s in their inner sleeve, outside of the cover, and both within a polybag, to avoid cover seam splits.
Media Mail in the USA: 1st LP is $4.00, each additional LP or CD is $1.00 (double LP’s are $5.00 etc.). Each additional box begins at $4.00, with $1.00 for additional LP’s.
Payment is expected within 10 days after close of auction. I accept Paypal only.
If you have questions regarding this item (including special packing requirements), email me before bidding. Don’t wait until after the auction is over to request special packing requirements.
Save on shipping charges for multiple items purchased from me. I'll combine multiple winnings from auctions ending within 72 hours of each other.
