Original Italian pressing on the Vedette label (VPA 8172), from 1973. Little known and elusive Italian soundtrack release on the label owned by electronic pioneer, Armando Sciascia. Stunning, progressive mood music created for the RAI TV movie, Moby Dick. A film directed by Carlo Quartucci starring Franco Parenti / Rino Sudano and Sandro Dori. Underground rock cum experimental Library with hallucinogenic psych lounge / cosmic synthesizers / hip hop tempo drums patterns and acid fuzz distortions. Sinister and trippy compositions with electronics / gothic hammond / treated spinette / zither / harpsichord / bowed cymbals and other-worldly metallic sounds too.The music we have recorded has that fabulously 'strung-out' giallo thriller / stoned Italian hippie vibe. Our soundclip opens with the amazing LUNGO LA BIANCA SCIA with sustained feed-back intro / buzzing synthesizers / hip hop beats and lysergic rock rhythms. Same mood to the killer MOBY DICK theme with alternative, waltz tempo reprise. Stoned, Gruppo Improvvisazione Nuova Consonanza ambience to FABBRICA (that easily rivals the best Egisto Macchi on Gemelli or Sermi label) and lots more drug party sounds with fuzz distortions and spaced-out rhythms to SOTTOFONDO PORTO / DISTRUZIONE DI PEQUOD and DEVASTAZIONE. Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is close to shiny M- condition with a couple of hairlines from sleeve removal. Superb production sound. Some light surface noises / a couple of pops. Taken from an unplayed deadstock of records and played once for the recording of the soundclip. The card sleeve is in strong VG++ condition with some ring creasing and some wear to bottom corners. Some crease lines in places from storage. Some score lines to back sleeve. Small abrasion tear to bottom of back sleeve, just after 'Edizioni Musicale...' words. Camera flash glare to sleeve and label photo. Rare OST Lp!!!
