ELVIS PRESLEY - "ROUSTABOUT" (LPM-2999) - RARE 1964 FIRST PRESSING WITH "SILVER TOP" AND "MONO" AT THE BASE OF THE LABELS! 

RECORD: EXCELLENT with full, original gloss! There are several very light paper sleeve scuffs that should not impede the listening enjoyment. This record should play great! This very rare and highly sought-after First Pressing from 1964 hails from the Hollywood plant and boasts all of the beautiful aesthetics that only Hollywood can deliver; highly attractive and vibrant silver print with the large "MONO" at the base of the Black Labels. My photos actually bring out all of the spindle marks that are actually difficult to see in person due to the flash. The spindle marks are very light and do not "dig in" to the labels. This record was pressed only from October 1964 until January 1965 when the new "White Top" labels were introduced. Therefore, the vast majority of these records are actually Second Pressings! So, if you want a full set of First Pressings, THIS album is an absolute necessity. Curiously, the matrix numbers on this particular record are high at 3S/12S!   

COVER:  VG+ with the shrink wrap still on! However, this did not entirely prevent wear. There is some shelf wear on the lower edge of about 4 inches along with some corner wear where the shrink had broken. Wear is seen along the open end edges as well. There are no seam splits, tape, writing or staple holes. This is a fully original cover! A store price sticker ($3.98) is on the front. It is becoming harder and harder to locate covers of this vintage with the shrink wrap still on them.
