ELVIS PRESLEY - "ELVIS - TV SPECIAL" (LPM-4088) FIRST PRESSING WITH THE SCARCE "REED" CREDITS ON "GUITAR MAN". UNLISTED IN "PRESLEYANA VII"  

RECORD:  EXCELLENT with full, original gloss, although there are several paper sleeve scuffs, primarily on Side 2. These scuffs are light and should not impair the audible enjoyment. This is a very early, First Pressing due to the fact that the songwriter credit for "Guitar Man" is to "Reed" and not "Hubbard"! This was very recently brought to my attention by a good friend of mine, a fellow vinyl enthusiast. Jerry Reed's true name was actually Hubbard. Reed was his "stage name" and once this error was noticed at RCA Victor, it became necessary to make a change on the labels of this album! This fact was NEVER published in Jerry Osborne's "Presleyana VII", to date. It is assumed that ALL Orange Label "Dynaflex" issues have the corrected labels as the change was made during production of these rigid vinyl discs. It is unknown just how many of these "Reed" copies were produced, but they are seemingly more scarce than their "Hubbard" counterparts. The labels on this record are very clean and fully original. This record is a Hollywood pressing with matrix numbers ending with 9S/10S.      

COVER:  NM and fully protected for the past 46 years in the original shrink wrap! A couple of very minor corner dimples are noticed, but that is very trivial. This is a simply beautiful, near perfect cover! This album is a must-have for every collector of Elvis Presley records and/or memorabilia!
