The "Chirping" Crickets feat. Buddy Holly
Original LP on the Coral label, with laminated sleeve.
Here is a true original...perhaps the record that inspired The Beatles! It's The Crickets debut record, featuring of course...Buddy Holly (just 21 years old at this point!)
This is the UK release of their debut LP, on the Coral label (LVA9081).
Matrix numbers: MG-6036-1B and MG-6037-1B
Mothers/Stampers: 1/UI and 3/UH
The record comes with its original, polythene-lined inner sleeve and a laminated outer sleeve.
The record is in very good condition for its age. It has been played many times, but still retains its glossy sheen. There are some surface marks on each side of the record, but none of these cause the record to skip whilst playing.
The labels are clean and free from writing and sticker residue. There are spindle marks visible on each side, when held up to the light.
The record plays through cleanly on both sides.
The inner sleeve is intact and free from writing and any tears.
The laminated outer sleeve (laminated with 'Clarifoil' made by British Celanese Limited) is in very good condition. No tears or seam splits. No writing or sticker residue. There are some creases and ring wear, but it's pretty clean. There's some slight burring at the sleeve opening, but not very much.
All in all, this is a really nice copy of a truly pioneering record...it's pretty much where rock and roll (as we know it today) kicked off!
I doubt that you'd find many copies like this about any more, so why not make this your own?!
