CHARLES MINGUS - MUSIC WRITTEN FOR MONTEREY, 1965 / NOT HEARD... PLAYED IN ITS ENTIRETY AT UCLA, Chares Mingus JWS 1103/1104, mono, two LP's in single pocket jacket with cardboard divider. This is the original mail order only release.

The musicians are Lonnie Hillyer, Hobart Dotson, Jimmy Owens (trumpet), Julius Watkins (french horn), Howard Johnson (tuba), Charles McPherson (alto sax), Charles Mingus (piano & bass), Dannie Richmond (drums).
The tunes are Meditation On Inner Peace, Once Upon a Time There Was a Holding Corporation Called Old America, Ode To Bird and Dizzy, They Trespass the Land of the Sacred Sioux, The Arts of Tatum and Freddie Webster, Don't Be Afraid the Clown's Afraid Too, Don't Let It Happen Here. 

Condition of records is E, no scuffs, no scratches, several spindle marks. Jacket shows some overall wear, top and bottom seams are repaired all the way across with clear tape, spine has small splits and tape repairs. Name stamped on labels, handwritten on back.

M = Mint. Brand new, unplayed. We never use the term "mint" to describe a used record, no matter how clean the record is.
E = Excellent. Some evidence of having been played, with no audible defect. Shiny surface, no groove wear.
V = Very Good. Noticeable wear, visual and audible. Records with slight surface noise and/or scuffs fall into this category.
G = Good. Not really all that good. Records in this category have more significant damage or wear.
F = More severe damage, distracting surface noise. Only used in incidence of extreme rarity.
P = Poor condition, proves existence of record only.

We think that most buyers want to receive their winnings quickly, so we offer the fastest mail options and we pack our records very carefully in heavy duty mailers. Shipments are made on Saturday and Tuesday mornings. Records which have been paid for by 3:00 PM on the day before will be shipped on those days.

Canada $12.00 First Class Mail International;
Overseas (Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, South America) $20.00 First Class Mail International.
