"Salty Dog Blues" b/w "Salt Lake City Blues" by Papa Charlie Jackson, the first male blues artist to record. Recorded Sept. 1924 and issued on Paramount 12236. Rare black label issue - condition is V+, although the "Salt Lake City" side is marred by swishing throughout the record. The swishing diminishes on the "Salty Dog" side until it is almost gone for the last third of the record. If not for the swishing, this would possibly be an E- record. Actual groove wear is minor when compared to most other Paramounts that you see. I've included an MP3 of the "Salty Dog" side to give you an idea of the sound quality throughout that side. Domestic shipping is $5.00 ($1.00 will be added because eBay has no clue how much it costs to properly pack and ship a 78).
