NEW ORDER - 3 records (flawed) Power Corruption and Lies LP / Low-Life LP / Blue Monday 12"
These records are all from my personal collection built up over almost 50 years. Some were bought new, others pre-owned so condition will vary. Please do read and understand the detailed description which is my honest personal assessment - you can always check how good or bad that is by checking my feedback. My attempt at grading is based on the commonly used Record Collector grading system. Questions are welcome if anything is unclear. Happy bidding.

The
Albums:
Emerging from the shadows of Joy Division, the band began to establish their own sound. Power Corruption & Lies was the first big change of direction, and at the same time a disappointment in that it did not contain their massive seller Blue Monday (all-time best selling 12"). Well, here you get both the LP and the Blue Monday single - and just for good measure, The Beach on the B side of the 12" is essentially a remixed version of the A side. Also ther's a copy of their next album, Low-life.
I just played all of these right through and they all play OK but all are flawed in some way:
They came to me from my brother in law, and it looks like he was maybe just unlucky:
Condition:
The only
thing wrong with Blue Monday is that it does not have the black inner
sleeve, just a reasonably worn (VG) outer. Vinyl looks and plays around
VG+
Power Corruption and Lies also does not have a custom inner, just a plain sleeve. Again, it looks and plays around VG+ however it is quite heavily warped, so looks very un-pretty on a moving turntable. Like I said, it plays ok but if you don't want your cartridge to ride a roller coaster maybe it's not for you
Low-Life is also quite heavily warped and again looks not too pretty on the deck, though it plays EX and looks the same when not moving. Also, you can see that the rear of the plastic wrap-around cover has probably been in contact with something hot as it has a scorch mark. This has not got through to the inner part of the sleeve, just the wrap-around.
Well, that's about it. Two wonky albums and an OK twelve inch which might just fill a gap in your collection.
Overall:
A flawed trio which I am not going to attempt to grade - what you need to know is set out above
Terms:
Please
note that I try to test-play at least part of each record before listing. I
just played all of this one, but if you do discover a problem which I might
have missed, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will do all I can to
rectify the situation.
Postage: I always make a loss on postage. Ebay now surcharge sellers 10% of postage costs for which there can be
no justification - I refuse to pass this levy on to buyers, so you
only pay post and packing, they get to rip me off, not you.
Current UK internal weight ranges allow two or three LPs to be posted first class for the same cost as one. Second class charges can currently cover 5 or 6 albums but for 4-6 I'll use a second mailer. Approximate prices for normal postage with new custom packaging -
UK £3-69 first class for up
to 1kg (1,2 or 3 average weight LPs), £3-19 second class for 1 - 3 or £3-58 for 4 - 6 LP's. Double LP's count as two
International bidders welcome, but postage will be handled by the eBay global shipping program - unfortunately I have no control over the onward shipping cost, just the UK leg which will cost as above.
I'm happy to hold records for a short while if you wish to bid on more and combine shipment, but it helps if you can let me know particularly when bidding on items separated by a few days.
Losses: Royal Mail maximum compensation is £20 unless items are signed-for. Compensation on signed-for shipments is up to £50.
Payment by Sterling cheque / money order, or via Paypal
The time has come to sell my whole vinyl collection as I know it won't be appreciated by my daughter or grandchildren, so I'm shifting it myself and hope I find good homes for it. Listed items are selected at random so there should be a decent if not particularly logical mix coming up over the next few months if you keep an eye on my other items now and in the future.
Thank you to all who have already given new homes to my beloved vinyl, and may you continue to enjoy these records for years to come
