M- is just a shade away from Mint, should be perfect, factory fresh with MAYBE just the minimal hairline. We rarely grade records with this grade and we tend to be strict in general. Sleeve should be crispy factory fresh.

EX is also really really clean, just a handfull of light hairlines, fiedlity must be great with no distortion or noise due to wear. What many call Mint- or NM. We rarely grade with this grade. Sleeve should have no real faults, maybe a hint of dirt or a bit wrinkly, maybe a bit yellowed. Maybe some minimal writing on the back of the sleeve or light ringwear on the back but in general really clean.

EX-  a great copy that could have a few hairlines (but still lots of luster / shine) or maybe one or two light marks but very shiny apart from that, these records also play great. Sleeve could have slight general wear but look nice. Maybe a clean sleeve with just one rip or two at the opening. Maybe some minimal writing on the back.

VG+ still a decent copy, most used records are in this condition or less. Can have quite a few hairlines and a few light marks but still some shine. Could also be very shiny but with one small more distinct mark making a pop or two. Must play well with just light crackle or maybe the odd lighter pop.  More general wear or maybe small writing, small tear or so. Generally looks OK

VG can have many hairlines or small light marks, may even have some bigger marks but nothing too bad. Can play with some distortion but nothing that overcomes the music. Still good enough to DJ with, usually it even plays better than VG but looks worn. More wear, tears etc

VG- records are well used. It´s quite often that these records play better than they look but to get this grade they must have quite a bit of wear. Lots of marks and sleeve could be torn, written on quite a bit and downright dirty.
