VINYL GRADING - VISUAL

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. 10 / 10

§  EXCELLENT: The record shows little or no marks (may have a couple of light scuff marks) with very little lessening in sound quality. The labels are clean but may have light writing on it. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing. 8++ and above out of 10

§  VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, might play with a little deterioration in sound quality, has noticeable surface marks, the vinyl may be dull and have the occasional light scratch. The labels are clean but may have some wear and writing on it. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, may have writing on it, without any major defects and is acceptable.7+ - 8+ out of 10

§  GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with distortion and mild scratches, many marks are visible. Labels have wear, writing and may have some damage. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc. 5+ - 7 out of 10

§  FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced. 5 and below out of 10
