IAN CARR with NUCLEUS Solar Plexus (UK) Vertigo 6360 039
This is an original 1971 UK Vertigo stereo pressing of the 3rd Nucleus lp (actually billed as Ian Carr with Nucleus), "Solar Plexus". The first to feature all Ian Carr compositions. The 2nd side is taken up mostly by the amazing "Snakehips Dream". Fantastic early UK fusion with the best UK players of that era.
Dead Wax Info: Side 1 has 6360039 1Y//1▼420 1 2 4 04 all stamped into the dead wax. Side 2 has 6360039 2Y//1▼420 1 2 5 04 all stamped into the dead wax. Early UK press with small Vertigo swirl on the B-side. This issue is probably just a few short weeks removed from the original release (which had large swirl on B-side). Vertigo changed their label to the smaller swirl just 2 catalogue releases after this one.
Vinyl Visual Grade: NM with no significant marking save some very light paper removal marks on Side 2 (that were EXTREMELY difficult to spot - even in bright light). Labels show maybe a couple of plays at most.
Vinyl Play Grade: NM with AS NEW fidelity and extremely low level static during the quiet parts. You would be VERY hard pressed to find a better playing copy of this particular press.
Cover Visual Grade: VG at least and probably closer to VG+. There is some storage wear on the front and rear. Spine and seams are all fine (minor wear), and corners also show minor wear.
Inner sleeve is original 2nd variant Vertigo Swirl poly-lined inner with large black-bordered swirl.
Hello all. My name is Jamie and I have been collecting records for 40+ years. It is time to trim down my unmanageable inventory. My tastes run all over the sonic map, so there should be something for almost everyone.
ALL records will have been visually inspected under BRIGHT incandescent light with extreme scrutiny.
ALL open records will have been play graded using a Thorens TD 165 turntable and Yamaha amplifier (JBL reference headphones). Treble set high so nothing will be hidden in my grades. My grading is as follows:
M or Mint - NOT USED as there is no such thing as perfection.
NM or Near Mint - No significant markings - sealed or RARELY played.
VG+ - Minimal marking - none of which significantly affects fidelity of lp.
VG - Minimal to modest marking which affects lp but not to the point of distraction.
G - Modest marking but still VERY listenable, depending on your ears.
I WILL NOT SELL ANY LP AT LESS THAN G UNLESS THERE IS SIGNIFICANT HISTORICAL VALUE ATTACHED TO THE LP.
ALL COVERS WILL HAVE DETAILED DESCRIPTIONS OF ALL FLAWS.
I USE PROPER RECORD MAILERS WITH STIFFENERS AND PADDED CORNERS. I HAVE BOUGHT TOO MANY RECORDS ON EBAY WITH DINGED CORNERS FROM INSUFFICIENT PACKAGING. BY PADDING THE CORNERS WITH FOLDED BUBBLE WRAP (WHICH I DO) , YOU CAN BE SURE OF RECEIVING AN LP WITH NO DAMAGE TO THE CORNERS.
SHIPPING FEES:
