I can safely say this 1979 original pressing has seen little play time (I only just played it for the first time in the 15 years I've owned it). Being familiar with this recording from my days of heavy listening to Pink Floyd, I would grade the sonic characteristics of this double lp as excellent, probably as good as it gets. It sounds so good that I would hazard a guess it was only played a few times with a nice turntable, if at all. No skips! Negligible pops at the beginning of each side. This auction includes the inner sleeves, which are visually in super nice shape, though the sides are starting to open up so I've placed the records in separate, new poly sleeves.
New to selling vinyl online- I'm a little scared to grade and will take the advice given to me, which is to determine what I think the grading would be and then give the buyer the benefit of the doubt and grade it 1 rating below what I think it should be. Though listing this as VG+, this complete 1st pressing is more accurately in the VG++ to Excellent range... Sonically, this is a fantastic 2xlp.
David Gilmore is the topmost production credit on the inner right gatefold, which confirms the original pressing status. Mastered at the mastering lab. A piece of history for sure!
Do know I consider myself an audiophile, and during my time earning a masters degree in information science my area of concentration was in the collection & preservation of recorded sound. In need of some extra money and space for projects around my home, I am reluctantly parting with some vinyl I never find myself listening to.  Best,
JB
