COLOSSEUM - " VALENTYNE SUITE ", Vertigo/Philips Records Product (VO 1) Stereo, 1969.

Very rare, 1969 UK first pressing of the classic debut album by Colosseum.

Original Vertigo 'swirl' labels, gatefold sleeve and matrix numbers.

Matrix and Stamper numbers

SIDE A = 886 775  1Y*1  420    1 1 11
SIDE B = 886 775  2*Y*1  420   11    1

(The earliest stamper number I have ever seen for this particular record!)

Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine and put in a new poly-lined inner sleeve

CONDITION:

VINYL  =  EX- (plays EX) (No deep scratches, groove damage, excessive surface noise, distortion, etc. Clean labels with light to average spindle trails. In normal light it looks pretty clean, but a bright grading lamp reveals a few paper scuffs and a few very faint surface marks - of course, none of these superficial imperfections affect playback in any way.. Indeed, it plays very well indeed - strong, clear and without interruption from clicks, crackles, etc... There's a minute amount of surface noise in the pressing during the silent run-in, but once the music starts, it disappears and plays strong and clear without interuptions. Clearly only had light normal use in it's lifetime and has been reasonably well cared for... even the small cosmetic flaws that are there are from handling rather than overuse.

Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)

SLEEVE =  V.G.- (No big creases, rips, tears, defacing, etc. Despite the good points, there is one major flaw - the original owner put tape around the edges of the front cover to 'protect it'. Now removed, this has left residue and staining on the edges of the sleeve, inside and out. There is also faded area on the top left corner of the front cover - see photos for further clarification)

INNER SLEEVE = V.G.- (The same as the sleeve, suffering from old tape on it and a bit of light foxing as well on this inner - see photos)

NOTE: I must point out that we are actually a long standing physical record shop, with many decades worth of selling, trading and grading records under our collective belts. Unlike so many of the jokers now selling records on ebay, we know how to grade records. Before bidding, please read my description carefully, decide how much this record is worth to you and place you max bid accordingly. Please also feel free to check out my feedback from the many other successful transactions I have made in the past.
