AN EXCELLENT PLAYING COPY OF THIS VERY RARE 1951 POLYGON 78 FROM THE LATE GREAT MAX WALL

Max Wall was born on March 12, 1908 in Brixton, London, England as Maxwell George Lorimer. He was an actor and writer, known for (1987), (1977) and (1968). He died on May 22, 1990 in London.

Max also developed a talent for guitar-playing, influenced strongly by visiting American singer Nick Lucas, 'The Crooning Troubadour', and began to compose his own songs. Over 100 were eventually registered with the Performing Right Society, many under Max's pen-name 'Michael Hodges' Such well-known artistes as Turner Layton, Peter Dawson and Joe Loss recorded  them as well as Max himself.   Well-known for his appearances as Professor Wallofsky in shows such as (1975) and (1982) wearing a bald cap and drainpipe trousers prancing around stage doing a funny walk in time to snare drum music.
His father was also a stage comedian, Jock Lorimer.
  English music hall song-and-dance man, originally billed as "The Boy with the Educated Feet". He was first on stage as a baby dressed in a kilt. In his later years, he became a noted character actor, often in the plays of Samuel Beckett.
