THE BEATLES

' PLEASE PLEASE ME '

(1963 PARLOPHONE RECORDS LP – UK 4th PRESSING!)

ON OFFER HERE IS A VERY RARE MONO FOURTH PRESSING OF THE 1963 DEBUT LP PLEASE PLEASE ME BY THE BEATLES ON THE BLACK & YELLOW PARLOPHONE LABEL.

THE BEATLES

JOHN LENNON GEORGE HARRISON RINGO STARR PAUL McCARTNEY

THE CATALOGUE NUMBER IS PARLOPHONE PMC 1202

THE MATRIX NUMBERS ARE: XEX 421-1N / XEX 422-1N

THE SLEEVE

THE FRONT LAMINATED ERNEST J. DAY PICTURE SLEEVE, WITH THREE REAR FLIP-BACKS, IS IN VERY GOOD+ CONDITION. THERE IS SOME SLIGHT WEAR AND SOME SCUFFING TO THE CORNERS. THERE IS SOME DISCOLOURATION TO THE BACK AND THE RIGHT-HAND CORNER OF THE LOWER FLIP-BACK IS CREASED. THE EDGES ARE STILL STRAIGHT AND THE TEXT ON THE SPINE IS STILL PERFECTLY LEGIBLE (See pics).

THE INNER SLEEVE

THE POLY-LINED "USE EMITEX" INNER SLEEVE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH A SMALL TOP SECTION MISSING. SOME VERY LIGHT WEAR AND SOME MINOR SIGNS OF CAREFUL HANDLING.

THE VINYL

VISUALLY THE VERY HEAVY, GLOSSY, BLACK VINYL APPEARS TO BE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, WITH SOME SLIGHT MARKS AND FAINT SCUFFS. THE SOUND QUALITY IS GENERALLY EXCELLENT THROUGHOUT. I ONLY NOTED 2 OR 3 TICKS BETWEEN TRACKS 1 & 2 SIDE 1. OTHERWISE THERE IS JUST SOME SLIGHT & OCCASIONAL SURFACE NOISE BETWEEN THE TRACKS.

THE LABELS

THE ICONIC BLACK & YELLOW PARLOPHONE LABELS ARE BOTH IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH SOME LIGHT SPINDLE MARKS.  BOTH LABELS CARRY THE TEXT “THE PARLOPHONE Co. LTD. ...”.

OVERALL CONDITION IS EXCELLENT GIVEN ITS AGE. AN IMPRESSIVE ADDITION TO ANY SERIOUS COLLECTOR.
