Extremely Ultra Rare 'Pasted over' Back Cover with 'Please Please Me' Without The Comma!
1964 Version 2 First Pressing
As indicated by most of the top Beatles collectors in the world, this is “the most interesting, rarest and sought after variation of the Mono Version Two cover”
This
rare variation was produced after the legal decision was made to reissue the
album with two different songs. Rather than destroy the already printed
“Version 1” covers, Vee Jay Records simply pasted the new back cover right over the original back cover. The rarity is astounding and a great addition to any collection !!
The most interesting item of note on this back cover is the song 'Please Please Me' which does NOT have a comma. This guarantees you that this cover as one of the first “pasted over” slicks pressed as this error was soon corrected to read 'Please, Please Me'. This correction can be found on a most all of Version 2 back covers, including most “pasted over” copies.
A few quick, easy, and fool proof tips on how to tell the authenticity of VJs 'Introducing The Beatles'
"The Beatles" name is above the center spindle hole on the label......Album cover shows George's shadow on the right side,
"Honey" has NO missing ink on the rear cover where the song "A Taste Of Honey" is listed, known as the Honey Test....
Front glossy photo and front/rear text is crisp and clear.
