Emperor Norton pressed up 200 white label 7" singles of Bill Murray's karaoke version of "More Than This" from the Lost In Translation movie as a promo with the idea that DJs might play the song at the end of the night. I have a box of these singles left over from when I sadly had to close the label down back in 2004.
We thought about having Bill Murray go in the studio with music supervisor Brian Reitzell and Roger Joseph Manning, Jr., to record a full version of the track. He was willing, but we decided to use the exact version from the iconic scene in the movie.
