Joe Hill Louis, Heartache Baby/I Feel Like a Million (Bootleg 502) (mid-1960s).

This is a mid-’60s UK private issue of Modern 20-795 (recorded 1950). The Bootleg label was briefly run by an English collector, its other issues being of Guitar Nubbit and J. B. Lenore [Lenoir]; all three were in limited pressings of 99 copies. The Lenoir and Louis issues had white labels with no logo or title data, just the artist’s name and the issue number written in felt-tip on one side.

In original plain paper sleeve. From the collection of the noted UK blues writer Neil Slaven.

Condition: disc as new. Sleeve somewhat worn & crumpled, and partly split along one edge.

A rare opportunity to obtain an extremely scarce item from the heady blues-discovering days of 1960s Britain.

In view of the item’s value, the buyer will be billed for a tracked-and-signed postal service, to which may be added, if appropriate, a further amount in full-sale-value insurance cover. Buyers are free to request cheaper postal services but at their own risk.
