The NIGHT BEAT box set is without doubt the rarest record cover with art by a young ANDY WARHOL.
Only ONE copy is known to exist. It has never been advertised on Ebay or any other auction site.

Released as a promotional three EP record set in 1949 (or 1950) it was sent to radio stations in order to garner sponsors for a planned radio series called "Night Beat", which starred Frank Lovejoy as Chicago reporter Randy Stone. Each programme recounted Stone's nightly activites on Chicago's streets.

In the spirit of Andy Warhol and as homage to Elaine Sturtevant (who made her own recreations of Warhol's art) I have recreated the NIGHT BEAT box in a limited edition of TEN copies. Originally made for members of the Warhol Cover Collectors Club in November 2016, I can now offer this remaining copy (Number 6/10). This recreation is a faithful copy of the original but contains no records.
