ABOUT THE RECORD Making a Good Thing Better peaked at No. 34 Pop Albums and No. 13 Country Albums. Olivia Newton-John was in a dispute with MCA records at the time of the recording and was in negotiations to be released from MCA, thus the label did not promote the album as much as it usually would. She promoted the album herself by appearing on the cover of Us Weekly on August 23 1977 and making a promotional clip of the title song that aired on NBC's The Midnight Special. The soul-sounding title track peaked at No. 87 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and No. 20 on the Adult Contemporary chart.
Portions of our "About the Record" section are taken from information gathered from Wikipedia and AllMusic.
