This listing is for a RARE & SCARCE WLP (white label promo) of The Rolling Stones 1964 debut lp England's Newest Hit Makers. It's a deep groove label, MONO, on London ffrr, #LL 3375DJ. See the pics for further details. This is a COMPLETE promo debut package of this lp. The jacket has the white Promo hype sticker lower front & center. The front lower left corner mentions FREE full color photo which is included (measures appx 11" x 11"). The photo was never hung up like almost all teens did back in the day. NO pin holes, NO tape marks. There is a small spot above Mick's head & the rear has small staining in the same area. The edges are excellent with some minor chipping or corner pushed, mostly from sliding around inside the jacket. The original London inner sleeve is included as well. It's a slightly different variation on the London inners but is the original as evidenced by the aging/yellowing around the exact spot the photo lie against it all these decades/years (see photos). This pressing has the distinction of having the MATRIX #'s of XARL-6291-3A for Side 1, & XARL-6292-3A for Side 2. The DEEP GROOVE WHITE PROMO labels are clear & easy to read. They do however have obvious spindle marks, smudges & on Side 1 letters or a name to the left of NOT FOR SALE. The vinyl is unfortunately G or worse. Many, many scratches clearly evident on both sides. The jacket grades a G+ to VG. The seams are intact. There is obvious chipping at the edges (mostly the bottom), pushed & dinged corners, and the rear has foxing/yellowing, with staining over & around Keith's photo, etc. Some light ringwear evident. You can see from sliding in & out of other lp's how the print on the rear is smudged & worn a bit. But still again a RARITY for The Rolling Stones debut lp. What possesses people to ruin lp's, especially promo lp's such as this is a crying shame. I DO NOT HAVE THE EQUIPMENT to play test this lp. Will the scratches affect play? I know for sure they'll be audible when playing but I'm not sure if the needle will skip or get caught/stuck in the groove. But this is still a RARE PROMO debut lp to own & collect from The Rolling Stones & the British Invasion of 1964. WHY you may ask can't I play test this lp? My house was damaged badly by Hurricane Sandy back on 10-29-12. I had heavy losses of my personal & rare collection of books, records, autographs, & much more. Water may have touched or destroyed a large portion of some of these items but not enough to destroy what I've salvaged. Another part of my collection, like this lp & more to come, were on higher shelves or in boxes, untouched by the water, but not rescued for awhile due to the heavy damage to my home & my city as well documented. But overall, still a fine & rare lp for collectors. I DON'T HAVE A RECORD CLEANING MACHINE NOR THE LIQUID SOLUTION & CLOTHS TO DO A THOROUGH JOB SO I LEAVE THAT UP TO THE BUYER TO DO SO, IF SO DESIRED. DO NOT BUY THIS LP IF ANY OF THESE CONDITIONS WILL BOTHER YOU OR BE A PROBLEM FOR YOU. THIS ITEM IS SOLD AS IS. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. SERIOUS COLLECTORS WANTED! Buyer pays the S&H. The S&H for the USA only is FREE SHIPPING. International rates vary by country. Please see my auctions & the items in my eBay store JOHNQUARTZ COLLECTIBLES. Thank you!
