Very rare french private pressing. HELENE SALOME PIANO ,MICHEL TOURNUS CELLO playing Joseph Wölfl and Onslow cello sonatas

Helene Salomé studied with Edwin Fischer. She played for Max Graf ( a close friend of Brahms ) who was deeply impressed by her elegant and deep piano playing. Her piano playing style is typical of the french piano scool ( Yvonne Lefebure , Youra Guller  or Jeanne Bovet ).

She played beautifully and her recordings are in some of the Valprivas records.

Charlin Private VALPRIVAS LP

 

Pressed privately for the ultraobscure label VALPRIVAS. Pressed in 300 copies which were sold only to the members of the VALPRIVAS artistical community.

 

VALPRIVAS recordings were often signed by André Charlin or his disciples as Daniel Madelaine.

The Valprivas repertoire was often unissued first world recordings. Thanks to Valprivas composers as Georges ONSLOW , Benjamin GODARD, Miquel LOPEZ , Joseph WOLFL , Joseph MYSLIVICEK , J A F Mica , Kaspar KUMMER , Joseph KUEFFNER , Alexis de CASTILLON , Alexandre BOELY , Francois DEVIENNE and Henry REBER, were rediscovered from mere oblivion.

 

VALPRIVAS was founded by CARL DE NYS . Carl De Nys was the founder of French Discophiles, Club Francais du Disque and collaborated with LUMEN, ODEON , and other great french labels from the fifties sixties and seventies. He worked tightly with his great friend André Charlin. He was a leading musical personality in France during decades.
