Wayne Shorter's third Blue Note recording as leader is a departure from his previous contributions to other's recordings. Recorded at Rudy Van Gelder's in 1966, this is a first pressing on the Liberty/Blue Note label, and has the NY USA labels on the vinyl. Even the back cover printing bears the size and font of the pre-Liberty Blue Notes.
Condition: Vinyl, VG+ The vinyl has lost the gloss it would have had when new, and though the photos don't quite capture it, I have to mention it for honest, full disclosure. It has not lost the original sonic quality. It has been play-graded, and is an extremly quiet piece of vinyl. The side one label has a small blemish and a short pen mark at the spindle hole. The side two label is virtually as new. (See the accompanying photos.) Cover, Ex The front cover is shiny across the surface. The upper left-hand corner has a small dog ear, and the top seam has some flaking. The bottom seam is unmarred, and the spine is intact (except for the edge of the dog ear). All of the print is legible.
Just ask if you have any questions or need additional photos, and I'll be happy to respond.
