notes: $12 78testament2 The Testament of Freedom Part IV
1943 Jefferson Bicentennial Concert broadcast transcription record

The University of Virginia Glee Club under the direction of Stephen D. Tuttle and accompanied by Randall Thompson, "The Testament of Freedom IV. I Shall Not Die Without a Hope," Columbia electrical transcription XP33337/33338, 12-inch 78 rpm. Vinyl, not shellac. The third of what was produced as a three-record set.

This is a recording of an April 13, 1943, Jefferson Bicentennial Concert at Cabell Hall, University of Virginia.

Condition is very good, graded visually: some dulling to the wax, light scuffs and fine surface scratches. My 78 turntable is out of commission, so I'm unable to play-grade. The sleeve has some chewing along the edges and also some staining.

Terms of Sale

All photos are of the actual item for sale unless otherwise noted.

I use the standard Goldmine criteria for grading vinyl.

I don't respond to offers.

Buy It Now prices are firm. I will not add a Buy It Now option to an auction.

Most records are shipped, with padding, in standard record mailers or the equivalent. Larger lots and 78s are shipped in cardboard boxes with appropriate padding.

Combined shipping (Important): If you wish to combine multiple purchases into a single shipment, please use the Add to Cart button and not the Buy It Now button. If you pay for several items separately with the Buy It Now button, they will be handled as separate purchases and will be shipped separately.

International buyers: The buyer is responsible for all customs fees, duties, and import taxes. Be aware that these fees can be significant; take them into consideration when you bid. I will not honor requests to falsify a customs form by declaring a value lower than the purchase price or by declaring an item as a gift.

I accept PayPal only, no exceptions.

I will leave feedback on request if you e-mail me after you get your package.
