Rare American 1970 release of the 'Cartoon Cover' The Man Who Sold The World album on the Mercury label. This copy is a bootleg version with hand-etched matrix numbers SR - 61325 - A - M2 and SR 61325 - B - M1. Even so, there are only subtle differences between this and the genuine issue. This is still a 1970 release, and a great inexpensive alternative to owning the 1970 genuine version (if you can find one, and afford one).

A Brief History Of TMWSTW albums

This 1970 US issue on the Mercury label, the  'Cartoon Cover' is a different cover to the original 1971 UK issue on the Mercury label, the 'Dress Cover', and again different to the 1971 German issue on the Mercury label, the 'Round Cover' (with a slightly different version of The Supermen')...and yet a different version was re-released in 1972 in both UK & US on the RCA Victor  label with the 'Kick cover' or 'Ziggy cover'. This version came with a free poster, similar to the cover.

This is a must for any DavidBowie fan or collector, and would make a great gift idea. These items are all from my own personal David Bowie record collection that I have collected over many years, I have only played some of them once or twice (if at all with some of them) although I have played them for grading and listing on eBay (unless they are still factory sealed). They have all been stored properly in plastic covers for protection, and rarely even handled. It's finally time to sell my beloved collection. I have LOTS more interesting DavidBowie vinyl which I will be selling soon. I have more LPs, 7"singles and 12" singles. Also some 'Record Collector' and other magazines that feature Bowie. Keep watching!

Any requests? Just ask, I may well have it.
