Here we have an interesting and unusual Rare Original 1930's 10" inch flexible thick plastic advertising picture disc.

IT IS IN SPLENDID PLAYABLE CONDITION.

It comes with the ORIGINAL ENVELOPE (tatty) and the ORIGINAL INSTRUCTION LEAFLET (good condition).

It was produced by United Dairies and features Physical Culture Exercises For Children organized by Major H.J Selby, Physical Education Officer for Oxfordshire (and probably the possessor of a magnificent moustache).

Amazingly, the musical accompaniment is arranged by Noel Gay.

It is a very non-standard 9 ¾ inches in diameter, and the bright clean pictures show “Elizabeth Ann” with unfeasibly pink cheeks, and lipstick for goodness sakes, holding a glass of United Dairies milk. On the other side is “Michael John”. He also appears to be sporting lipstick, as well as a Chelsea scarf. He prefers his United Dairies milk straight from the bottle.

The disc was produced in the EARLY 1930’s by the “Plaston” company which was affiliated with the startlingly rare “Trusound” label.

Miraculously, the DISC is in VERY GOOD+ used condition with no creases.

The INSTRUCTIONS are clean and uncreased.

The ORIGINAL ENVELOPE is in a tatty state, but could be repaired and improved.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. Please Note!

I have just played the disc, and find that it plays through perfectly on my top-of-the-range wind-up gramophone, and with a little difficulty on a Dansette with a fairly hefty tracking weight.

I tried it at a light tracking weight on an SME arm and posh turntable and it wouldn’t track the first quarter of the disc, although the remainder sounded fine .

So I must downgrade the condition to "Plays with fairly heavy tracking only.”

I hope this information is useful, and you can cancel your bid if you like.

Cheers... ukulelebloke.
