TITLE:
Atom Heart Mother
DETAILS:
1970 UK first pressing 5-track stereo vinyl LP. The label has the 'Gramophone Co. Ltd' credit and is without an EMI box logo on the labels. It also features first issue -1G matrices in the run-out grooves. Presented in a gatefold picture sleeve, SHVL781

GRADING:
Cover - Excellent Minus
The spine is clean, intact and clearly readable. It is slightly flattened near the bottom through storage. This means the front of the gatefoold doesn't lay completely square with the back. Please see photographs.
Very light wear to seams.
Minimal amount of dirt/discolouration picked up on sleeve.
The polylined inner on the Harvest inner sleeve is a little loose.
The front part of the gatefold sleeve entrance has come unstuck (please see photographs). I did consider regluing as this would be an easy repair but decided to leave the option open for the buyer to do. The sleeve is slightly worn on this front sleeve near the bottom right hand corner.
Rear sleeve of gatefold slight bottom right hand corner wear.
Record - Very Good Plus
No EMI logo on labels.
The text on the label rim begins with 'The Gramophone Co Ltd
The matrix numbers both are SHVL 781 A-1G / SHVL 781 B-1G.
Labels are free from writing and the spindle holes show minimal sign of any play.
The vinyl is generally clean but there are 2 small white spots on side 2 that cause about 3 small clicks each. I have cleaned the vinyl a couple of times which has reduced the white spots but not removed them.
Our grading is based on the system used by Record Collector magazine as described below (We don't sell records with a grading of less than very good).
Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
