Condtion: VERY GOOD PLUS PLUS, light greying, short fine scratches on Delmas, plays quiet some clicks light fuzziness on top passages.
Although this artist had one of the most beautiful bass voices of his
generation in France, a voice whose inexhaustible richness of tone and
power with such intensity of expression that his recordings cannot be
over-praised, he never appeared at either of the great Paris houses.
During his almost 30 year carreer, he limited himself to performances at
Monte Carlo and Lizzi, where he was greatly loved. His first performances
appeared on Pathe cylinders in 1900 while he was still a student at the
Paris Conservatory. In 1901 followed G&T discs, then numerous titles on
Zonophon(1902), Columbia, Odeon, Lyroph9on and Pathe
