SLEEVE: PLAIN WHITE SLEEVE
Up for auction are (2) unreleased acetate recordings of Portland Oregon's "The Harlequins". these are Pre "The Seven Souls" which banded together in Los Angeles in 1964, so it must have been recorded some time before that at REX recording studio. Only one acetate has a label on one side which in my opinion is the best track, "Mind your business". The flip is an up tempo James Brown cover "Think". The other acetate with no labels is a part 1 & part 2 recording of "Comin home baby" which is a cover made famous by Herbie Mann on the "Live at the village gate" LP, I'm guessing this was an extended instrumental track showing off the talent of of the band, giving each member a solo. This auction also comes with an original band flyer.
The "Comin home baby" acetate has a slight edge warp which doesn't effect play. see last photo.
This is probably the rarest soul recording i've ever found in my many years of digging. Feel free to ask any  questions. Happy bidding!
