I am parting with some of my treasured LPs.  Here's a great record from 1979.  This is the first LP that's the first act of Zappa's brilliant Joes Garage.  If you don't know theses LP's, you need them now!!  Zappa, after having to fire his amazing band from 1970-78 because of financial troubles due to his contract dispute with Warner Brothers, comes back strong with the Joe's Garage band with superstar musicians like Vinnie Colaiuta on drums, Ike Wills sining, and Ed Mann percussion.  I saw around 30 of those shows on the 80 and 81 tours, and the band was incredible.  Mixed in to this soundtrack is the brilliant song WHY DOES IT HURT WHEN I PEE?
The cover is nice, but with some very minor rubbing on top and bottom seam, and the bottom 1/8" of the seam. Small corner dings where the LP comes out. The gatefold is in beautiful condition, and this copy includes the lyrics insert.  That inset, being attached to the gatefold has pulled a small area off the inside cover where it is attached.  Probably from people reading along with the lyrics.  The back cover shows some LP rubbing, and there is a circle that must have been caused by this being used as a coaster...The LP is NEAR MINT, and plays perfectly.

This is a keeper of a copy.  Let's face it, Zappa LPs didn't sell well, but were incredible.  Finding these in such great shape close to 40 years after release is a great find.  I am a big Zappa aficionado, and I grab great Zappa LPs all the time, even though I own them all, and then some.  He was a treasure of an artist, who was able to march to the beat of his own drum.  He was making music that both amused him, and that challenged him.  He wasn't making music to sell records or get rich.  These LPs are works of art that I hope someone will be turned onto as I was in the mid 70's when Zappa became the most important musical influence in my life.

I love original original pressings because I feel every LP is of it's time and place. The vinyl, and record pressings are all from that moment in time, and no re-pressing or re-mastering will ever make the sound better for me.
