Grading Scale Cover and Vinyl

COVER:

M = Cover is absolutely new and I only use this if the item is still sealed

NM = Cover is near perfect with no dings, creases or writing. Usually will be in shrink wrap.

EX = Cover condition is somewhere between VG+ and Near Mint.

VG+ = Cover may have a few light creases, tiny bends, light ring wear and maybe even light writing.

VG = Cover will have large bends, creases and/or medium ring wear. May also have writing on front or back.

OK = Cover may have any of the conditions of VG along with splits or unglued seams. I will usually expand my description to note these.

Fair/Poor = Cover is usually shot and I only post these if the record is rare and still in at least good condition. Will be best to move LP into a generic cover.

VINYL:

M = Absolutely new and I only use this if the item is still sealed

NM = The vinyl is near perfect

EX = Somewhere between VG+ and Near Mint. At most 1 or 2 tiny and light hairlines or scuff lines.

VG+ = Vinyl has been well taken care of but will have a few very light hairlines or scuff lines. Maybe some other slight imperfections like a rub mark. There should be very little to no background/surface noise when playing this record.

VG = Vinyl will have several light scratches or hairlines and light to moderate Background/surface noise while playing. Still a nice record but expect some crackles and pops.

VG- = Somewhere between VG and G.

G = Vinyl will have many scratches and scuffs with significant surface noise upon playing. This type of scratches will be very evident but should not cause any skipping during play.
