Selling-up my extensive record collection. Lots of interesting LPs in the collection - do have a look at my other items, and there are new listings every week. I may have obscure things that you didn't even know you wanted!

As you probably know already, the first record of Jimi at Monterey was one side of Jimi and one side of Otis Redding. Initial release was in 1970. This is a French copy probably from the 1970s, in nice condition.

Pictures are my own photos of the items for sale. Photos are part of the description, have a good look.

Cover - Is excellent. It's flat, having all its original sheen. A little wear to edges and corners, small crease in from the spine.

Record - Side one (Jimi) - there's a light scratch in the lead-in, just going into the playing grooves. On side two, Otis, has a scratch in the lead-in, just going into the music grooves. There's a surface mark on track 1 and another going from end of track 1 into track 2. There are a group of light marks starting in track 2 and going into track 3, and another group in track 3. I also see a tiny impact at start of track 4. I have play-tested this record. On the Jimi side, the scratch is audible, just in Jimi's initial rap, then possibly background crackling for a short while - and after that, NO clicks or crackles, and excellent audio. On the Otis side, it plays just fine, except for noticeable crackles in quiet parts of track 3, and quiet start of track 5. Again, very enjoyable sound.

I have been collecting records for 50 years (when finances allowed!), and now it's time to sell-up. I bought them mostly around local shops (second-hand), but sometimes from e-bay, and sometimes new, for my favourite bands.

When I'm checking for damage on records, I look at them carefully with my reading glasses on, in good daylight. This method detects any bits of damage that will affect what you hear when listening to it - and lots that are not audible. Using a spotlight or direct sunlight shows more surfacey marks sometimes, but I don't do that - records are for listening to, not trying to see your face in.

Postage at cost within UK - £3.00 plus 50p for a proper record mailer Happy to do combined postage wherever practical.

I don't mail things personally, to countries outside the UK - ( I mean it, don't ask) - but I am happy to use E-Bay UK's Global Shipping Program, for sending things abroad. Under this scheme, I send the parcel to an e-bay depot in UK, and they forward it to the overseas buyer.

They have a tracked courier service, for the journey from their UK depot, to the buyer.

This means that I can ONLY accept payments through e-bay (Pay Now button), and I can't send invoices.

E-Bay UK tells me, they do NOT do combined postage in the Global Shipping Programme. Charges to the customer for delivery are whatever you're told they are - if you don't want to pay the postal / courier charges, then do not bid.

International buyers should be able to see a postage cost to their country, you may have to input your location, if your country is included in the scheme.

If your country is not mentioned, please do not bid.

International postage plus applicable customs charges will probably be shown to buyers in the following non-EU countries - E-Bay collects customs duty for the receiving country: Australia, Brazil, Canada, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, Russia and USA, and wherever else import duty is appropriate - e.g. Norway.

I WILL DEFINITELY NOT post to countries that are not included in the above lists, and I don't send to China.
