it's an original Paramount early Gospel Blues record from c 1924 shellac 78rpm record with blue labels that have gold print. it's from the Paramount Records 12000 RACE RECORDS Series.

rare 78rpm original PARAMOUNT records release from c 1924 from Paramount's 12000 famous RACE SERIES that's been cleaned as best we could, but is very worn and has a crack, so this one is being sold AS-IS but do note that it played through on our player with no skips or repeats (read on for more details). surface has graying, scratches and scuffs. also has one largish edge chip that doesn't go into grooves. also has crack through half of it. record has been FULLY PLAY TESTED and it's fairly noisy (static, crackle and tics when needle passes through crack) but didn't skip or repeat for us. its labels are also in fairly rough shape, but have no stickers or writing on them. they do have print fading, spindle marks and are simply worn. this is not a Paramount 78 that turns up often so maybe it'll do as a filler copy til a nicer one comes along, or makes for a good wall hanger, whatever.
